  • Bluff King Salmon will be a world-class sustainable RAS facility, producing 10,000 tonnes of premium grade King Salmon per year

  • The area offers ideal sea water temperatures and salinity levels, logistical infrastructure, and cold chain facilities,

  • Secured access to key technology and inputs, including fish feed

  • The site is located near New Zealand’s major port facilities, with strong export opportunities to the US and Asia, and attractive local market opportunities

Alexandroupolis, Greece

 

DETAILS:

  • ImpactMarine Rasellas in Greece will be a sustainable land-based RAS facility, producing 4,000 tonnes of premium grade Sea Bass per year

  • Greece is the largest European producer of Sea Bass (52,000t in 2019), where there are over 300 net pen fish farms operating across the country

  • Whilst it is a well-established industry in Greece with a number of hatcheries and feed producers (as well as value-adding processing facilities), there are growing restrictions against net pen production due to the environmental impacts

  • The facility will produce Sea Bass for export to Europe (e.g., Italy, France & Spain) and the Middle East and well as domestic markets

  • Ōpōtiki Atlantic Salmon will be a world-class sustainable RAS facility, producing 10,000 tonnes of premium grade Atlantic Salmon per year

  • The area offers ideal sea water temperatures and salinity levels, logistical infrastructure, and cold chain facilities,

  • Secured access to key technology and inputs, including fish feed

  • The site is located near New Zealand’s Tauranga Harbour, with strong export opportunities to the US and Asia, and attractive local market opportunities
